Index to the ranked items

The listed XRP treasury finished slightly lower on a thin float, and nothing in the session added XRP demand.

Flat XRP flows on a crypto-wide outflow day leave the $39.78M weekly test four sessions to work with.

The Saudi front just moved from airports to oil, though no new strike on a Saudi oil site was confirmed.

1XRPN closes its first session at $16.91 as XRP slides

High✓ Verified

Evernorth's first full session as XRPN ended at $16.91, down 1.05% from Friday's $17.09, after trading between $16.39 and $19.39 on about 1.29 million shares (BeInCrypto; Crypto Economy). It traded $17.37 after hours and about $17.05 premarket Tuesday (Bitcoin.com News; AOL). The close sits about 68% below the $53 peak the ticker printed on Oct 2, while it was still the SPAC.

Filings show about 80.3% of SPAC shares were redeemed before the merger, which leaves a thin float and explains the swings (KuCoin News). Most of the roughly 473 million XRP came from investors contributing existing tokens in exchange for equity, so buying XRPN does not buy XRP (BeInCrypto). No XRP purchase, cash deployment or updated XRP balance was disclosed in this window, and the desk's reconciliation of the release totals against the 8-K components is still open.

XRP fell to $1.36 on Coinbase Tuesday morning from $1.42 on Monday's stamp, about 4.2% lower (desk calc). The closing bell ceremony is Oct 14.

2XRP ETFs open the week at zero as bitcoin and ether bleed

High✓ Verified

SoSoValue shows $0.00 net inflow across all five US spot XRP ETFs for Oct 12, update completed, with $24.37M traded and net assets of $1.55B, down from $1.57B Friday. CoinGlass matches fund by fund at zero, with 21Shares blank as usual (both read from screenshots). That is the second straight zero, and four of the last six sessions printed zero.

The week of Oct 12 has four sessions left to reach the $39.78M reference that starts the improve count; a net weekly outflow fires WEAKENING. Cumulative inflow reads $1.80B on SoSoValue against $1.72B on CoinGlass, the known difference in Grayscale's starting base, not a flow disagreement.

On the same session bitcoin ETFs lost $65.4M, all from IBIT, and ether ETFs $85.4M, of which ETHA was $75.1M (Farside). Flat XRP flows on a crypto-wide outflow day are a hold, not a signal in either direction.

3Houthis declare every Aramco facility a target

High✓ Verified

Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saree told employees and civilians near any Saudi Aramco oil facility to evacuate and stay away, calling the sites legitimate targets (Reuters via Yahoo; Anadolu). The warning followed the Saudi-led coalition's order to evacuate the Yemen Oil Company's Sabah central station in Sanaa ahead of a planned military operation; Saree said any strike on Sanaa would bring a "harsh and painful" response in Riyadh.

It lands days after the deadliest attack on a Gulf Arab state since the Iran war began: the Oct 10 missile strike on Riyadh's King Khalid airport killed 12 and wounded more than 300, and India's embassy reported a 13th death (CNBC; NPR). Saudi Arabia says Houthi attacks on its airports killed at least 20 people in a week, and the airport stayed closed.

Why it ranks: a blanket threat against Aramco moves the Houthi campaign from airports to oil. No new strike on a Saudi oil facility was confirmed in this window, and a threat is not lost supply.

4Brent settles at a four-week high, then fades on Russian diesel

High✓ Verified

December Brent settled $106.65 Monday, up $1.93 or 1.8%, its highest settle since Sept 15, after an overnight dip toward $103 on Trump's energy ceasefire post reversed (Bloomberg via Rigzone; Angel One). Bloomberg tied the rise to fresh attacks on Saudi Arabia and Ukraine's doubts about the truce. November WTI settled $93.74.

Tuesday morning Brent traded about $105.06, down 1.49% (CNBC), as traders weighed more Russian diesel after the US eased restrictions on it, a move lawmakers of both parties criticized. The ceasefire is still unconfirmed: the Kremlin neither confirmed nor denied a deal Monday, Russia struck Ukrainian energy sites after the announcement, and Trump said he did not yet have a commitment from either side when he posted it (NBC News).

The settle is what counts. The $90.00 improve marker sits $16.65 below Monday's settle, and the Macro Backdrop sub-$100 count stays at zero.

5IRGC claims a third tanker hit; two weekend strikes named

HighPartially verified

The IRGC navy said a third "violating" supertanker was hit in the Strait of Hormuz on Monday morning and caught fire after switching off its navigation system and ignoring warnings, and warned vessels cooperating with the US military of a firm response (Anadolu via Middle East Monitor). It named no vessel, and UKMTO has not confirmed a Monday strike.

Two weekend strikes now have names. Maritime security firm Vanguard Tech identified the Marshall Islands-flagged Suezmax Valthera, hit outbound on Oct 10 with a fire on board, and the VLCC Angola Prosperity, hit on its port side outbound on Oct 11 (Seatrade Maritime). The tanker struck by a drone at Sohar is the MT Petro Dolphin; India's shipping ministry says two of its 11 Indian crew are missing (SANA, citing AFP).

Preliminary Kpler flow figures relayed by secondary outlets show confirmed Hormuz volumes falling sharply late last week; the desk has not located the primary release and logs them unverified. New strikes keep the Hormuz improve count at zero.

6S&P's first on-chain swap runs on Canton, not the XRP Ledger

Medium✓ Verified

S&P Dow Jones Indices, Kaiko and Derivnex completed the first OTC swap on the Canton Network: a total return swap between DRW and Marex referencing S&P DJI's iBoxx USD Liquid Investment Grade Index, which Kaiko tokenized on Canton (S&P Global press release). The release calls it the first OTC derivative to reference a fully tokenized index on distributed ledger infrastructure.

Monitored X accounts circulated it as Wall Street moving on-chain. The release names no XRP Ledger, Ripple or XRP role. It is a tokenization market-structure data point on a rival ledger, logged as verified for what it is and not read across to XRP.

7Yields slip as bonds reopen a day before CPI

Medium✓ Verified

With the bond market reopened after Columbus Day, the 10-year yield fell about 5 basis points to 5.19% and the 30-year traded about 5.55%, tracking oil lower (CNBC). These are intraday quotes, not par closes; Treasury's next print comes tonight, and the Bond Stress count needs closes at or below 5.50.

September CPI is due Wednesday Oct 14 at 8:30 am ET, the last print before the Oct 28 FOMC (Admiral Markets). FactSet consensus is +0.5% headline and +0.2% core month over month, and investors put October hike odds at 22% as of Monday (Morningstar).

USD/JPY eased to about 158.3 (Trading Economics). MUFG says intervention risk keeps capping the pair, and PM Takaichi said US and Japanese finance ministers remain in close contact on currencies. Japan's August TIC data, due mid-October, is still the test of the open claim that Japan sold Treasuries to fund intervention.
